In China during the 16th century, Kung Fuzi, or Confucius, made his own set of beliefs without intending to create his own religion, but others started to spread his beliefs. There are 6.3 million Confucians today, mainly living in the countries of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
